Home - for LÜDECKE this is not only a term but an integral part of its company culture. We are a family company and have been deeply rooted in our hometown Amberg and its region for many years. So it goes without saying that we take care of this “home” and take on responsibility. We do this by creating work places, promoting inclusion, social commitment as well as sustainable management.

A special project which has a positive impact on the region is the LÜDECKE energy production campus and energy management. For this purpose, several oil and gas heating systems have been replaced by a highly efficient cogeneration unit including an absorption chiller and a photovoltaic system over the last few months on the company premises. Due to this long-term and sustainable energy supply, LÜDECKE will cover almost its entire demand for heat and cooling a well as about 65 % of its demand for electricity. In addition, all associated rental units in close proximity will be supplied via an electricity and district heating network. This centralised energy production will lead to an enormous improvement in efficiency as well as large cuts in emissions. Moreover, an energy monitoring as well as an intelligent load management system have been installed.

For this project, LÜDECKE has been honoured as „home-loving company“ by the Bavarian state ministry for finance and homeland. With this award, minister of finance and homeland, Albert Füracker, appreciated the extremely important commitment of several companies for the state of Bavaria and thanked all participants for their extraordinary civil engagement.
